A digital snapshot (2024) of the sofa where Rustam Halfin often lay in a wooden log house built more than 100 years ago. Rustam Halfin lived here in July 1990, when he was visiting his friend, the production designer V.P. Kostrin, at his dacha in Krasny Yar, Nizhny Novgorod region of the USSR. During this period, Rustam painted a large series of works of art (several dozen works) - graphics and sketches from nature. As of July 2024, the sofa has been completely preserved. Valery Kostrin recalls: "Rustam often lay on this sofa and looked at the wall, which was full of potholes and uneven marks, and considered them an "OKOEM" and asked me not to plaster or whitewash the wall in any case."
Attributed by the production designer Valery Kostin in 2024. Photographed by Ruslan Khalfin
