A major exhibition, “Müsinder: Sculpture in Kazakhstan from the 1950s to the Present Day,” is currently on view at Almaty Museum of Arts, tracing seven decades of development in Kazakhstani sculpture.
The exhibition features one of Rustam Khalfin’s most important projects — “Zero Level. Clay Project” (1999–2000). The project’s photographic documentation offers a view of Khalfin’s unique monumental work, in which the artist explored the human body, space, and his own understanding of sculptural form.
